FVP acquired the Amelia Townhomes site in May of 2022. The project is within a Qualified Opportunity Zone and the former site of a 22,000 square foot commercial building which formally housed the Salvation Army. The partnership acquired the site and received a site plan approval to develop 100 townhomes and 12 apartment multifamily units over 5,000 square feet of retail. FVP formed a joint venture with Prestige Builders Group as a co-developer and contractor to build the project. The project marked the second project for the joint venture partnership within the Amelia District. The approved site plan aims to capitalize on the scarcity of townhome properties in Hialeah.
